These grants are the direct result of the CivxNow Coalition’s hard-won push for greater federal investment in civics and history, representing a tripling in federal dollars for civic education after the yearslong effort to pass the Civics Secures Democracy Act. These investments will help secure our constitutional democracy for generations to come by educating the American public, and equipping our students and communities with the knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary to meaningfully participate and engage in civic life.
We are confident that the high-quality applications submitted by our Coalition partners and the broader field will open the door for us to continue to build on additional federal funding for civics and history.
Please feel free to reach out to our team with any questions in the weeks to come.
Sincerely,
The CivxNow Team
